Weapons of Mass Destruction

Weapons of Mass Destruction: Music Is Fission, Contagion Is Song

What waits in this warhead,
What effect of its touch?
End Times?
Death?
Less is much.
What are these threats?
What power has fear
In the presence of lipstick detonating cheer?
Tube opened, warhead exposed,
Causes long trepidation to be shortly deposed;
And that shield of color across parted lips
Gives valor to voice and swing to the hips,
And with more and more rhythm and song
The distance from home does not seem as long;
The world is One,
The situation less cold,
Hot desert less dry,
Routine less old;
Indeed, that bloom from the tube,
Alive as a smile,
Makes even the worst bearably worthwhile
As cosmetic stain lyrically pours out
Raising dulling endurance to merriment’s shout
And bathing in rose
All the troubles to find
That are worthless targets to the uplifted mind.
The aria of rose is not by deception
But occurs innately as heartfelt reception
Of beauty,
Of love,
Of morale’s deep, vivid wealth
That is indestructible peace, incorruptible health.
